# Overview

Mailing lists represent a group of recipients that you can manage and send mail to. They can be created and managed through these endpoints.

# Manually Creating

A mailing list can be created using the `create` endpoint and then recipients can be added as JSON data using the endpoints `recipients/create` or `recipients/create-multiple`.

# Radius Search

**thanks.io can generate a mailing list using a radius search to target recipients within a specific geographic area.**

To run a search, simply provide a search address, recipient type, and desired recipient count. The system uses the address as the center point and identifies the nearest recipients within a maximum radius of 5 miles.

Each record added to the mailing list is billed at \$0.05.
