# n8n Integration

> Automate thanks.io directly from your n8n workflows

## Overview

Connect thanks.io to your n8n automations. The thanks.io node is available directly in [n8n Cloud](https://n8n.io/integrations/thanksio/) as a verified integration, so no manual installation is needed on n8n Cloud instances.

## Install

**n8n Cloud:** The thanks.io node is verified and available directly in the Nodes panel — no installation required.

**Self-hosted n8n:** In your n8n instance:

1. Open Settings → Community Nodes → Install.
2. Enter: `n8n-nodes-thanks-io` and confirm the install.

## Authentication

Use your thanks.io API key as a Bearer Token credential in n8n.

1. Create or copy your API key in your thanks.io dashboard under **Settings → [API Access](https://dashboard.thanks.io/app/settings/api-access)**.
2. In n8n, add new credentials for the Thanks.io nodes and paste the key.

## What you can do

* Add recipient to an existing Mailing List.  This allows you to easily hook into all thanks.io automations.
* Send a creative from your Creatives library. Every mailer send operation has a **Creative** field: pick a creative from the list, which shows your complete creatives of the selected mailer type, or enter its creative ID. With a Creative set, leave the image, message, handwriting, and background fields empty; the creative sends exactly as saved. You can still add a QR Code URL, and Additional Pages URL for letters. Image Template ID or Front Image URL is only required when no Creative is set. If you don't see the field, update the thanks.io node to the latest version.
