The recommended way to set both the front image and the message is to send a complete creative with creative_id — see Send a Creative. The options below set the image per request instead.

Front Image

For postcards, notecards, magnacards, and giftcards, this will be used for the front of the mailer. For windowed and windowless letters this will be used for the background of the cover letter. The front image can be specified in two different ways:
  • Using front_image_url a URL can be specified to an png or jpeg image.
  • Using image_template a template ID can be specified to use a pre-designed thanks.io image template for the mailer.

Back/Interior Image

  • Using custom_background_image a URL can be specified to an png or jpeg image. This will be used for the back of postcards/magnacards or the interior of notecards. This is not used for giftcards or letters.
